10 Fun Things to Do With Doggie to Make Him Happy

It's not for nothing that our canine companions are often referred to as "man's best friend." They are incredibly loyal, caring, and sincere, and their love is unlike any other. As a result, it's only fair that we treat our dogs as if they're our best friends; after all, it's a position they've earned. That means there's a lot more we could be doing with our dogs to make them (and you) happy besides the basics. That is why I have compiled this fun bucket list of dog-friendly activities so that you and your furry best friend can enjoy some awesome dog-friendly activities together!

1. Book a Pet-Friendly Hotel

There are numerous places where your dog is welcome to stay; simply conduct a search for pet-friendly accommodations. There are hotels and log cabins, as well as cottages and adorable glamping tents. Choose one and enjoy a memorable getaway with your dog.

2. Master a New Skill

Depending on how long you've been training him, your puppy is probably already familiar with the games fetch and roll over. However, those are only the most basic tricks you could teach him. There's also the army crawl, salute, and handstand, which can impress other owners once your dog has mastered them.

3. Put on a costume for Halloween

Halloween can be a fun holiday to celebrate with your dog. The stores are brimming with simple dog costumes, such as various types of cute headbands that will easily transform them into a dog-dragon or the like for the night. A quick search on Amazon for dog costumes yields a plethora of different options for your dog's costume, including reindeer ridden by Santa, mail carrier, ghostbuster, dinosaurs, Maleficent, and the list goes on.

And, of course, you must take a million photos of you and your pup dressed up for Halloween for all to see.

4. Go for a walk on the beach

With the summer season well underway, there's no reason not to plan a fun day out on the sand. There are many dog-friendly beaches in the United States, such as the Fisherman's Cove Conservation Area in New Jersey and the Brohard Paw Park in Florida.

5. Throw a Doggy Birthday Bash

On his pedigree, you should be able to look up your dog's birthday. If your dog is a rescue or doesn't have an exact birthdate, you can choose a date that works for you so he can cross this activity off his dog bucket list. It's a good idea to send out invitations and bake the cake ahead of time so you don't have to scramble at the last minute.

6. Bring Your Dog to Work With You

While not all workplaces permit it, for security, hygiene, and other reasons, many companies now allow employees to bring their dog to work with them. And why shouldn't they? A furry friend in the office makes the working day so much more enjoyable and enjoyable!

Your dog will also appreciate the extra time spent with you, not to mention all the attention they'll receive throughout the day from your coworkers, who won't be able to stop petting your doggy.

7. Take a Convertible Ride

Your dog, like you, enjoys feeling the wind in his hair while driving down the highway. However, the typical coupe or pickup is boring and confining, so take a drive in a convertible instead. As you bask in the sun, wear cool sunglasses (like the QUMY dog goggles) and you'll feel like celebrities all the time in the world.

8. Go Shopping with Your Dog at a Dog-Friendly Store

Shopping does not have to be an activity that you enjoy but must leave your furry bestie at home to do! Although certain stores, such as supermarkets, remain inaccessible to dogs, a broader range of stores accepting dogs, other than pet shops, are sprouting up all over.

9. Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP)

If you haven't already noticed, a stand-up paddle board can fit more than one person, and there's even room for a small dog. Honestly, teaching your pet to SUP is one of the more difficult tasks on this list, but it will be so much fun to paddle down a scenic river or on a smooth lake in the end.

10. Participate in a police car ride-along.

Another option for extra special dog activities–for both you and the dog–is to accompany a police officer on a ride-along in a police car. It doesn't get any more exciting than that! It's also completely risk-free, providing you with invaluable first-hand knowledge of what it's like to be a police officer for a day.
